The photograph The girl and her object was first produced in 2005. In 2013 a new element was added, a red SOLD stamp in the middle of the image, pointing more explicitly at the commodification of human bodies and art objects. 

On the occasion of my solo exhibition ‘Some stars are never seen’ at Lumen Travo Gallery in Amsterdam in 2013, Steven ten Thije, curator at Van Abbemuseum wrote a beautiful essay about this work which was published as a  limited edition booklet in 2014. (Ed. 60; 30 English / 30 Dutch).
