Neither here nor there – Margret Wibmer solo exhibition at Movement Exposed Gallery Space in Utrecht, Netherlands

With the exhibition Neither here, nor there Margret Wibmer returns to our gallery where she will present a selection of sculptural, photographic and video works from 8 October until 12 November. Using ambiguity and the principle of chance as a methodology to deconstruct internalized processes, norms and values deeply embedded within our societies, she creates transient ‘realities’ that explore new strategies for connecting us with the world and with others.

Im März 2020…@ Klocker Museum, Austria

At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 when the art market shut down, Klocker Foundation generously and immediately allocated a special budget for acquisitions and acquired works by 28 artists for their collection. Proud to share that my sculpture ‘Lucy’ is now part of this important collection and will be on view during this special exhibition.
The exhibition “In March 2020 …” presents all positions acquired. By way of exception the Klocker Museum all its exhibition spaces to the presentation of works from the collection.

2/Marion Scharmann zeigt/shows “intrinsic oddity” Hella Berent, Margret Wibmer – publication

HELLA BERENT and MARGRET WIBMER explore relations between bodies, objects and spaces. Openness and a quiet oddity characterise the conceptual-poetic works of both artists, encouraging a reexamination of established culture-dependent conventions and norms. Thus, the two artistic positions juxtaposed in the exhibition “intrinsic oddity’ refer sensually and with ease to current issues such as feminism, (body)identity, and cultural affiliation.
