Description
The artist book Relay, produced by Studio Margret Wibmer and developed in close collaboration with graphic designer Isabelle Vigier, focuses on Wibmer’s interest in the relations between tangible materiality and digital (im)materiality. Developed in parallel with the eponymous video, this precious book object features 10 performers on 64 pages, interpreting a textile prop that Wibmer developed for the purpose of the intervention. The book also includes a poem by Marianna Maruyama and a conversation with Magdalena Kröner both reflecting on the larger context of this work. Wibmer sees the performers, all close friends, as representatives of something universally human, which shapes the broader context of this work. The video is made accessible via a QR code inside the book.
