With the exhibition Neither here, nor there Margret Wibmer returns to our gallery where she will present a selection of sculptural, photographic and video works from 8 October until 12 November. Using ambiguity and the principle of chance as a methodology to deconstruct internalized processes, norms and values deeply embedded within our societies, she creates transient ‘realities’ that explore new strategies for connecting us with the world and with others.
At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 when the art market shut down, Klocker Foundation generously and immediately allocated a special budget for acquisitions and acquired works by 28 artists for their collection. Proud to share that my sculpture ‘Lucy’ is now part of this important collection and will be on view during this special exhibition.
The exhibition “In March 2020 …” presents all positions acquired. By way of exception the Klocker Museum all its exhibition spaces to the presentation of works from the collection.
ARIA DI CAPRI / FRESH AIR is a QR Activation Event that occurred on Capri Island, Italy, in the Mediterranean Ocean, summer 2022. This is a nomadic event traveling from country to country.
A group of specially costumed performance artists walk slowly, in procession, through the town displaying a logo comprised of a QR CODE and a Lemon insignia. The public engage by snapping photos and activating the QR Logo MediaStream.
A hole is invisible without the surrounding material, but where is the material that originally filled the hole? A new Reconstruction series was commissioned by Kunstraum Dreieich for a private collector. This offered an opportunity to revisit a project I had worked on during a research period in China some years ago, reflecting on urbanisation and mega cities as living spaces for humans and other species.
